HOUSTON MONORAIL
During the Kathy Whitmire administration Metro proposed
building a Monorail based transit system for Houston.
Once Bob Lanier was elected, this proposal was
canceled. Currently Metro is building their "Metrorail" Light Rail,
a updated version of the street Trolley. While
there is no doubt that people who live along the Metrorail route will
find it useful, it is an inferior transit technology.
